Tucson College

The search for a college to help you prepare for a career in Arizona starts and ends at Tucson College, a career-focused training school located in the heart of Tucson, a vibrant and scenic city surrounded by five mountain ranges, in the State of Arizona.

Tucson College is located in the midst of a bustling metropolis with multicultural communities.  It’s an ideal training ground for would-be IT specialists, allied health workers, and electrical technicians for Metropolitan Tucson, with a population of one million people.  The campus consists of two modern buildings with a total area of 17,000 square feet, separated by an atrium leading to an outdoor patio.  While it has ample parking for cars and bikes, the college is also commuter-friendly for bus-riding students.

The college provides a healthy environment for learning, with air-conditioned classrooms to lock out Tucson’s year-round sunny weather, and a state-of-the-art library and laboratories to keep students at the forefront of their training for their chosen career.  It offers programs that can be completed in less than eight months and provides flexible schedules specially-designed for working students.

Tucson College’s classroom sizes are small and are focused at providing lectures and hands-on training for academic diploma programs that are on demand in the local job market, including Pharmacy Technician, Administrative Assistant/Computer Applications Assistant, Medical Office Billing and Coding Specialist, Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Medical Assistant, and Electrical Technician.  Lectures and demonstrations are undertaken by instructors with academic credentials and professional work experience in the fields they teach.

If your chosen course requires certification or licensure, Tucson College’s diploma programs are designed to prepare their graduates for the required tests.  The school’s Pharmacy Technician program prepares candidates for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board test, while the Administrative Assistant program trains students for the Microsoft Office Software certification exam. Similarly, graduates of the CNA diploma program are eligible for the Certified Nursing Assistant Examination required by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.

All programs offered by Tucson University are accredited by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), a major national accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. As a career-focused college, Tucson College takes its mission one step further by offering job placement services to both current students and recent graduates looking for employment. Tucson College coordinates with local employers to identify job openings and match them with potential candidates from its ranks of students and graduates.
