Founded 35 years ago, the Keller Graduate School is under the wings of Devry University, a respected learning institution recognized by the Higher Learning Commission, one of six regional agencies that accredit U.S. colleges and universities at the institutional level. It is recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

An accreditation provides assurance to the public and a seal of approval for meeting the minimum set of standards instituted by the U.S. Department of Education.  Moreover, it commands the respect of employers across a wide range of industries.

The Keller Graduate School of Management was founded in July 1973 and was originally known as the CBA Institute, which initially offered a Certificate in Business Administration, a program that would later become the forerunner of the Executive MBA.

Even then, founders Dennis Keller and Ron Taylor had already envisioned a business school with an innovative practitioner-centered approach based on teaching practical business skills that could immediately be applied to work.  It was a differentiation strategy that would later serve as the foundation for the Keller brand of graduate management educational experience.

Three years later, the school launched its flagship MBA degree program and established the Keller Graduate School of Management. Since then, the downtown Chicago-based school has grown in program offerings and has expanded to the suburbs.  In 1987, the school acquired DeVry Institute and further expanded to Phoenix, Arizona and Kansas City, Missouri. And finally in February 2002, Keller Graduate School of Management merged with the DeVry Institute to form DeVry University.

From its humble beginnings in 1976 as a small business school, the University of DeVry Keller Graduate School of Management has expanded to a nationwide network of more 80 university campuses and a curriculum that includes 150 courses across an MBA program with 15 concentrations, six other managerial masters degree programs, and 14 graduate certificate options.

It is a school that continues to be rooted in excellence defined in terms of its continued adherence to a practitioner-based curriculum and convenience and facility to help students to balance their activities between work and graduate school.
