Florida Technical College

Are you planning a career in healthcare, computers and programming, design, or business?

The Florida Technical College can help you not only in terms of acquiring  the necessary credentials through both associate and degree programs and diploma programs, but through an honest-to-goodness career placement assistance and services are that are available to you from admission through graduation and beyond.

We’re a private, two-year junior college with four campuses in Florida, with a mission to help students develop the skills and confidence they need to find employment and compete in today’s increasingly tight job market.

Florida Technical College offers both associate degree programs and diploma programs, which you can complete in as little as 18 months.  We started operations in 1984 by offering business and management technology and electronics/computer technology degrees, followed by computer drafting and design degrees.

Today, the college has expanded to include more course offerings, including medical administrative assistant and network administration/programming degrees and C++/JAVA Programming diplomas, network administration/hardware, website and graphic design, medical assistant, and paralegal studies.

These course offerings were selected on the basis of their career growth potentials. In truth, health care and networking are the two fastest-growing occupations in the last 10 years, while medical assisting is today’s leading occupation in terms of job growth.

We complement these realities in the job market by hiring only experienced instructors, investing in modern facilities and equipment, extensive hands-on training, career services and professional preparation seminars, and a wholesome classroom learning environment where teamwork and cooperation are fostered.

The Florida Technical College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award Associates of Science degrees and academic diplomas. The ACICS is recognized as an accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.

An accreditation assures the general public, particularly students, that a school, college, or university has met the minimum quality standards set by accrediting bodies to award certificates, diplomas, and degrees. It is a school’s seal of “good housekeeping.”

Good housekeeping for Florida Technical College goes beyond classroom instructions for learning and understanding as it also involves helping every student obtain entry level employment and supporting the student all the way to achieving a rewarding career in a variety of business and technical areas.
